Xentury Technologies Pte. Ltd., operating as tribe (also styled as tr/be) (“tribe”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our”), provides a personal finance recommendation application and related websites for individuals in India (the “App” or “Services”).


These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and Our India Privacy Policy available at https://tribemoney.ai/legal/in/PrivacyPolicy/ (the “Privacy Policy”) form a binding agreement between you and tribe. By accessing, downloading, registering for, or using the App, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.


tribe helps people in India understand spending, bank balances, and investments, and get simple next-step recommendations—without manual spreadsheets or uploading statements.

Core idea: much of a user’s financial life already arrives in Gmail (merchant receipts, bank e-statements, broker/SIP emails). With your explicit, voluntary consent, tribe may connect to Gmail via Google OAuth and use read-only Gmail access (gmail.readonly) to identify finance-related mail—such as expenses/receipts (e.g. Swiggy, Amazon, Uber, subscriptions), bank e-statements (e.g. HDFC, ICICI, SBI), and investments (e.g. Zerodha, Groww, SIP confirmations)—and turn that information into a finance snapshot and recommendations (e.g. spend by category, balance signals, portfolio signals, suggestions such as cutting dining or using idle cash better).

The App is not an email client. We do not send, delete, or modify your mail. The Services are not enterprise email monitoring or third-party surveillance.

Demo / verification context. The current build may demonstrate the consent flow and sample insights. Production intent is the same: personal finance recommendations from finance-related emails you already receive.


You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and capable of entering a binding contract under Indian law to use the Services. The App is intended for individuals in India for personal use. You represent that information you provide is true, accurate, and complete.


You may need to create an account and, optionally, connect third-party accounts (including Google / Gmail) to use certain features. You are responsible for:

You may disconnect Gmail or revoke Google access at any time via in-App controls (where available) and your Google Account settings. Revoking access may disable features that depend on Gmail.


If you choose to connect Gmail:

We do not intend to sell mailbox data, use email content for advertising from that content, treat unrelated personal conversations as a product goal, or share Gmail content with unrelated third parties for their marketing.


Important: Insights, snapshots, categorisations, signals, and recommendations shown in the App are informational and educational only. They are not financial advice, investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a solicitation to buy or sell any security, product, or service. tribe is a financial technology product, not a bank, broker, investment adviser, or portfolio manager.

You remain solely responsible for your financial decisions. Before acting on any recommendation, consider your circumstances and, where appropriate, consult a qualified professional. Past patterns extracted from email do not guarantee future results. Data derived from email may be incomplete, delayed, mis-categorised, or inaccurate.

The App, branding (including tribe / tr/be), software, designs, and content We provide are owned by tribe or Our licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal use in accordance with these Terms. You retain rights in your own data; you grant Us a licence to process that data as needed to provide the Services and as described in the Privacy Policy.


Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy at https://tribemoney.ai/legal/in/PrivacyPolicy/, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.


The Services may depend on third parties such as Google (OAuth / Gmail API) and hosting or analytics providers. Your use of those third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. tribe is not responsible for third-party services We do not control.


THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT INSIGHTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, ERROR-FREE, OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT EMAIL-DERIVED DATA WILL REFLECT YOUR FULL FINANCIAL POSITION.


TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRIBE AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TRIBE FOR THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 5,000.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable Indian law.


You agree to indemnify and hold harmless tribe and its affiliates from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Services, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights (including Google’s terms).


We may suspend or terminate access to the Services if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if We discontinue the App. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.


We may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version at https://tribemoney.ai/legal/in/TermsConditions/ and updating the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may be communicated in the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance, except where additional consent is required by law.


These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections, courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services. You and tribe first agree to attempt good-faith resolution by contacting legal@tribemoney.ai.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and tribe regarding the India-facing personal finance recommendation Services described herein. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without Our consent; We may assign them in connection with a corporate transaction.
